Senior Network Engineer As a Senior Network Engineer, you will perform projects as part of a team or independently, from design to replacement of a single network component to complex customer transactions. Every customer of ours has a network. You are responsible in this role from service desk to shared services. At RAM-IT we work with every brand you can come across in networking. From Alto, Juniper, Fortigate, Arista, Aruba to Prowire. So in this role you can take on lots of cool projects and delve even deeper into virtual networking. In this role, you can help us build bridges between the networking team and the architects. For example, we are working on the wifi network for operating rooms. You understand that this is the ultimate wifi project, everything has to be right here, talk about technical complexity! What are you going to do Design, implement, manage, optimize and maintain an optimal technical network infrastructure. Responsible for designing (sub)components of the network infrastructure. Handle (complex) changes and incidents. Support in analyzing and defining network related problems. Replacing network components. Perform failure and escalation services. Account for and document work in the call registration system. Design, implement, install, configure and maintain Firewalls, Routers and switches. This includes the incident, problem and change management processes. Advising and assisting customers on and with their ICT infrastructure. Further development of infrastructure based on decision making and market developments. What do you bring In the ideal world you have knowledge of all the products listed below, but if you do not know one of them, we will train you: You are proactive, independent and can cope well with complex projects. Knowledge of and experience with network, router and firewall equipment e.g. Cisco, Arista, Fortinet, F5, Arista, HP, Dell, Aruba, NSX-T. Knowledge with Azure or AWS. Knowledge and experience with IP Technology, VoIP, Wifi, Protocol analyzers. Knowledge and experience with operational network management and network design.
