SR. BUSINESS MANAGER, LLDPE EUROPE DEPARTMENT The Polymers Polyethylene BU is part of the Polymers Strategic Business Unit. The PE business main objective is ensuring sustainable profitable growth the entire LLDPE product portfolio JOB PURPOSE As Business Manager, you are responsible for maximizing the overall cash contribution to the business on short and middle long term by steering the multidisciplinary business process of Marketing/Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Technology, and Finance (Value Team, S&OP platforms). You need to maximize revenues from SABIC assets and continuously developing, initiating and taking decisions on performance improvement, incl. small & major Capex improvement projects, problem solving and grasping opportunities in alignment with all stakeholders. In addition, you need to contribute to the long term Business Strategy, and define and realise short and medium term (1-5 years) business targets: In this role you are a strong contributor to the overall European transformation program. You will report directly to the PE Europe business director. RESPONSIBILITIES Profit & Loss responsibility for accountable business area (asset / market combination; maximize overall cash contribution, margin, market share and asset loading Defines and executes short to mid-term strategy for accountable business area, resulting in an annually updated 5 year Business plan, incl. business objectives (such as growth and market share goals), sales/procurement & contracting strategy, including improvement projects, milestones and resources. Leads the multidisciplinary Value Team (a.o. Marketing & Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Technology, Finance and Market Intelligence) Drives continuous improvement in all disciplines affecting the business area. Functional steering of Sales through defining market/sales segments, risk profiles, product/service offering, setting pricing framework & guidelines. Leading the business unit transformation initiatives as part of European restructuring program MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS (+/- 600 characters) >10 years’ experience in refinery/gas/petrochemical/trading international industry. Knowledge of and experience in petrochemicals: technology, business economics, market dynamics and value drivers Master of Science, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or Chemistry Strong conceptual, communicative and analytical skills In depth knowledge of sales/marketing concepts in alignment with specific business knowledge Proven capability to drive change Functional and/or hierarchical management experience Fluent in English.
