ROLE DESCRIPTION Are you looking for a 6-month internship starting in Summer 2024 This is a unique opportunity to become part of the Engineering & Operations department in our fast-paced, dynamic organization within the satellite operations industry. Based in The Hague, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of an up-and-coming software platform. Developed on the Django framework and powered by Python, the platform aims to streamline operations and enhance collaboration across our teams. Throughout your internship, you'll develop new technical skills and gain invaluable experience in collaborative work environments, all while contributing to projects that have a tangible real-world impact. RESPONSIBILITIES Your responsiblities include, but are not limited to: Contribute to the ongoing development and reliability of our software project, ensuring it remains up-to-date and continuously meets the evolving needs of our teams Translate the needs of users into functional and technical requirements to enhance software performance and user experience Assist in the continual refinement and enhancement of the software, utilizing best practices in software development Dive into the existing codebase to understand its intricacies and work cohesively with the team to fulfill the project’s objectives YOUR PROFILE 1. You must Currently be a student studying Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a relevant area Skilled in Python, Django, HTML and JavaScript Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate user needs into product requirements Fluency in spoken and written English EU-nationality or work permit for The Netherlands. 2. It would be nice if you had Demonstrate a keen interest in software development Proactive in spotting opportunities for improvement and taking the initiative to enhance them Other language skills considered an asset.
